Jack is ranked 6th from the top and Rajni is ranked 10th from the bottom in a class of 15 students. How many students are there between Jack and Rajni?

Sum of positions of an item from top(right) and bottom(left) of a list is always equal to the sum of the positions of the first and last items. So position of Jack from the bottom is = 15 - 6 + 1 = 10. Number of students between them is: difference of 10 and 14 (minus 1) = 3
