Rank of a student in his class from the top is 12. If the total number of students in the class is 30, what is his position from the bottom of the class?

Sum of positions of an item from top and bottom of a list is always equal to the sum of the positions of the first and last items. So position from bottom is = 30 - 12 + 1 = 19.
