Question

How many hours are there between 1::44 A.M. to 3::49 P.M.

A

14::05.

B

16::04.

C

12::03.

D

16::07.

Soln.
Ans: a

Minutes from 1::44 A.M. to 2::00 A.M. are 60 - 44 = 16. Minutes from 2::00 A.M. to 12::00 noon are 60 X 10 = 600 mins. Minutes from 12::00 noon to 3::49 P.M. are 60 x 3 = 180 + 49 = 229 mins. So total minutes are 16 + 600 + 229 = 845 minutes, which are equal to 60 X 14 + 5 Thus, hours are = 14, and minutes = 5
