Question

If 15th February of an ordinary, non-leap year falls on a Monday, then what will be the day of week on 20th June of that year?

A

Sunday.

B

Monday.

C

Friday.

D

Saturday.

Soln.
Ans: a

Count the days from months between February 15 and June 20 like this: February days = 28;March days = 31;April days = 30;May days = 31;Add 20 days of June. Subtract 15 days of February. So total days = 125. Since 125 = 17 X 7 + 6, so excess days are 6. So we can count the day to Monday + 6 = Sunday.
