Question

If 1st May of an ordinary, non-leap year falls on a Saturday, then what will be the day of week on 1st August of that year?

A

Sunday.

B

Tuesday.

C

Friday.

D

Saturday.

Soln.
Ans: a

Count the days from months between May 1 and August 1 like this: May days = 31;June days = 30;July days = 31; So total days = 92. Since 92 = 13 X 7 + 1, so excess days are 1. So we can count the day to Saturday + 1 = Sunday.
