(3)MOTHER    (C) ygzaxc
(4)RIGHTS    (D) bjdcga
(5)TAILOR    (E) wcpybv
(6)GARDEN    (F) vzcjlk
```
What is the code for the letter S?
A
a.
B
z.
C
d.
D
x.
Soln.
Ans: c
DESIGN contains an S, but out of the four options, its code[dklbjz] contains only d and z. So we can be sure that S = d or z. Next find a code that contains either d or z, but not both. So, code for MOTHER contains z but not d, we can therefore conclude that S is not z. So it must be d.
