A starts a venture with Rs. 216. After 9 months B also joins him. At the end of the year, the profits were shared in the ratio 9 : 13. What was the investment of B?

Money-months contributed contributed by A = 216 × 12 = 2592. So money months of B should be $13/9 × 2592$, therefore, money of B = $13/9 × 2592/3$ = Rs. 1248.
